Travel Info

A valid passport (or identity card for European citizens) is required for all visitors entering France. No visa is required for citizens from the EU or from most other European countries, USA, and Argentine. Please contact the French embassy, consulate or customs agency in your own country for details regarding visa and entry requirements.

Weather

The average daily temperature in June is around 17°C (62°F). However, weather can be rather rainy.

 

Insurance

French health care does not cover visitors to France. Please ensure that you have a suitable insurance coverage for the event of illness or accident. The organizers of the conference cannot accept responsibility for individual medical, travel or personal insurance nor for injury or damage involving persons or property before, during or after the conference.

 

Electrical current

The electrical current in France is 220 volts 50 Hz; 2 pin round plugs.

 

Banking and credit cards

Banks are open generally from 9:00 to 16:30 with a break at lunch time, from Monday to Friday. Cash machines can be found almost everywhere.

 

Shopping

Most shops are open from 9 or 10 am until 7 pm.

 

Restaurants

A large variety of restaurants and cafés are scattered throughout Paris, with a very large offer. Prices for a menu usually start from 20-25€.
