Accommodation in Paris is quite expensive (between 80 euros and 120 per night per person) and most hotel rooms do not have fixed rates. You will find below a list of relatively affordable hotels, mostly located in the 5th district, at walking distance (5 to 20 minutes) from the conference location or in the 13th / 14th district (10 to 15 min by bus). However, you should check room prices directly on the hotels’ websites.
Here are a few tips to help you booking your hotel: - Discount rates are often offered if you book your hotel online, either through online booking platforms or directly on the website of the hotel - If you don’t find a room in this list of hotels, you may look at the website of Paris Tourist Office: http://en.parisinfo.com/paris-hotels/: the website is in English and it is possible to refine your search by location, price rate, etc. - If you are looking for cheaper accommodation, you may be interested in the following list of youth hostels : http://en.parisinfo.com/paris-hotels/young-paris/ - Please be reminded that the conference will take place in Centre Pantheon-Sorbonne 12 place du Panthéon in the 5th district. So you may want to limit your search to hotels or youth hotels located in the 5th, 6th, 13th or 14th districts. If you are looking for hotels outside of these districts, you should look for hotels located near line 10, line 4 or RER B, since the nearest subway stations around the conference location are: Cluny La Sorbonne (line 10), Odeon (line 4 / line 10), Luxembourg (RER B). - If you want to estimate how long it takes to go from your hotel to the conference location, you can use the RATP website: http://www.ratp.fr/en/. If you prefer walking, you may find itineraries on Google Map.
